Basically, people lie because they know the truth. It is as simple as that.

With every lie we tell, we push the truth further into our selves.

Well, can any one come up with a different answer?

Children are taught to lie by their parents and other people in their environment.

We instill fear in our children. It starts by maybe a simple question from an adult, a parent, a family member, or may be, a teacher.

Question………Did you do that?

Here comes the command “Answer me or else I will beat the xxxx out of you”. These threats are progressive and some times lead to adult anger. We are in a punitive society. We have a need to control and when control fails , we punish.

The child knows the truth and also knows that if the truth is told there will be punishment. Well we already taught our children “THE ART OF THE LIE”. So they resort to the lie.

How can we punish a Child for telling the truth.

That was simple, was it not ???

Because , we the adults know better, instead of instilling the fear of punishment, instead of wanting to control, maybe we could simply use gentle and guiding language like “We do not do That”

Now there is no lie, no punishment, no hostility, and maybe a better person has been created.

In the real world, that is the world we live in, the school, the work place, and life in general, we are exposed to the result of our different cultures.

The teacher, teaches, but is that environment realy conducive to life free of lies and deception. After all, the child’s culture and up bringing is the responsibility of parents even though most children spend more time with teachers than with Mothers and Fathers.

So the child is now an adult, a grown person, a person who should be a responsible person. Some people do not see the need to lie. Some will lie, you know…small lies, because of pressure from other people. Some become perpetual liars. Do you remember that child who was pressured by a mother or father?

But here is the most destructive result of the “LIE”. The lie is most likely passed on to other children and other generations.

When people become elevated to higher positions of responsibility, they seem to assume a position of entitlement. The untrained manager , the Supervisor, the Team Coach, the Preacher, the CEO, and even the Politicians. These are the people who should be leading in our society. Yet most of them in their quest to grab power and control, are corrupt and resort to lies.

Adult lies and misbehavior cannot be excused.

With maturity, we should become more responsible. That is where our civilization is progressing.

IF MATURED PEOPLE IN OUR WORLD CANNOT SEE WHERE WE HAVE EVOLVED FROM AND WHERE WE HAVE PROGRESSED TO, THEN WE HAVE TO EXAMINE THEIR MENTAL STATE. HAVE THEY REALY MATURED OR ARE THEY STILL IN SOME JUVENILE STATE OF MIND????.

THESE PEOPLE MUST BE CARRYING A VERY HEAVY BURDEN OF TRUTH HIDDEN BEHIND THEIR LIES.
